Summary
The meeting at the top of an eminent historian with an immense event. Turning the capital of France's history, the Revolution brought with it the end of the Ancien Régime and of privileges, the declaration of the rights of man and of the citizen, individual freedom, civil equality, the beginning of a national representation and the foundation of the Nation State, in the enthusiasm of the soldiers of the year II, the Marseillaise and the tricolor flag. No period experienced in such a short time as many challenges, political, cultural or religious upheavals, structural reforms, which opened, chaotically at times, the paths of modernity. From the multitude of works devoted to it, were often retained the rehabilitations and condemnations of the main characters or political currents at work during the period, forming a memorial node, from the Terror to the wars of Vendée, still prevailing today. This is not the case.
