A lawyer defends her husband accused of... the murder of her mistress! At thirty-three years old, Sarah Morgan is the best criminal lawyer in Washington DC and she could not dream of a happier life. Adam, her husband, is not at the same point. Her career as a writer skates and her relationship with Sarah, who devotes only a short time to her, is no longer enough for her. Their secondary residence then becomes for Adam the refuge where she flourishes her passionate affair with Kelly Summers. But one morning, everything is changed.
